![]() ![]() If you do have a gaming pc available, I'd just use Parsec to remote to it and play Guild Wars 2 that way. So in my opinion, I'd go this route if you don't have a Windows PC available, or you don't want to pay for Geforce Now. Though this obviously doesn't hold a candle to an RTX 2080 on Windows. ![]() Sure the frame rate isn't quite as high, but I can actually push 1440p whereas on Linux I'm stuck at 1080p for stability reasons. I can honestly say that this performance is very comparable to that. ![]() Now I come from playing on Linux using an RTX 2080. Here's a screenshot from Lion's Arch with my settings and the FPS I generally get (playing at 1440p ultrawide): This reduces a lot of the stutters as you turn the camera. I'm currently running with the following settings:Ī custom ASYNC DXVK has been installed (I won't provide a guide for this because people have gotten banned from other online games for using it, but if you're interested you can google how). This 16-inch model is the only one with high performance mode available to it, which is what I'm using. For transparency, I have a 16-inch M1 Max (32 core) model. So there've been a lot of reviews for the gaming potential of the new M1 Max Macbook Pro's, but none include Guild Wars 2 as far as I can tell, so I figured I'd post my experiences for anyone considering one. ![]()
